Hello Robertson Parents,

WooHoo!! We are finished with the CogAT test! Results should be back sometime in March. It was great to see all of the students dressed up as the career they want to have when they grow up. Just a quick tip for reading homework: when your child gets stuck on a word have them look for chunks in the word they may know such as it, and, all or is instead of sounding it out. Another tip is to have them skip the word, read the rest of the sentence and then go back to the beginning of that sentence and reread it to listen to themselves as to what would make sense.

Curriculum Focus:
Reading-Creating Mental Images as you read
Writing-Capitalization at the beginning of a sentence and names & Punctuation

Challenge Words-spring, daytime, penny, holiday, lakes
Math-Addition and Subtraction Facts up to equaling 18 and Math Test
